What’s involved?

Chemical Peel is a medical-aesthetic treatment, non – invasive, with a depigmentation effect that leaves the skin more even, gives shine and brightness to the face.

It is a mild and virtually painless chemical procedure that removes the superficial layers of skin where dead cells and lesions are found, leaving a new layer visible without marks or blemishes. It also eliminates minor wrinkles. The skin becomes more radiant and rejuvenated, literally, as new. The superficial, medium and deep peeling is applied depending on your specific need and characteristics.

Are layers of skin removed with chemical peels? Doesn’t this make the skin more fragile?

With chemical peels we remove layers of skin (depending on the depth of the peeling) and in the first week the skin is more sensitive. However, the skin regenerates every 21 days or so with full cell renewal.

Who will perform the chemical peel treatment?

At Unico Aesthetic, lighter, superficial peels are performed by our trained therapists. Medium and deep peels and all our medical treatments are performed by our aesthetic-specialist doctors.

When will I notice the results?

The skin will peel for a few days after the chemical peel treatment (often imperceptibly), giving way to a new layer of softer skin, albeit sometimes with a redness that will disappear progressively. Smoother, more hydrated skin is the result. Skin marks and blemishes are reduced or improved, and the skin becomes more luminescent.
